Last week was not a very good week for a number of

Last week was not a very good week for a number of reasons. Mostly dealing with an injury and some difficult mental health days. And it ended with both Mike and I feeling very sick. This weekend was spent not moving very much and not being productive. (Because recovery is more important than productivity).

All that to say, the website might be a bit slow this week. But I'll do my best to put more stuff up next week. For now I'm just spending time with these guys.

I like anthropomorphising things. It's where my brain goes immediately when I see something that kind of looks alive. These are clips that Mike 3D printed to use in the pulley system for the greenhouse lights. And they definitely look like robots that want hugs. Or (once they're fully assembled) robots holding little clipboards.

Over the weekends I like to have some easy to thro

Over the weekends I like to have some easy to throw together lunch food ready for Mike and I. That way I don't have to think about it. Chicken Salad Sandwiches are perfect for that. I just mix up the salad mix using leftover cooked chicken, and store it in a container. Then when lunch time rolls around and we're both busy with whatever, we can just throw some onto toast and boom, lunch. ⠀

This recipe is and oldy but a goody. The walnut cranberry drizzle can also be whipped up and stored in a jar in the fridge. Just because something looks fancy doesn't mean it needs to be hard. ⠀

Thanks to @hankgreen I've been following the Perseverance Rover on its trip to Mars. And today it made a successful landing! It was one of the most exciting and scary things I've watched in a while. But the joy on everyone's faces after the landing was worth it. I cried, it's was such a relief. I can't wait to see what this awesome little gal can find out there!

Steak Tartare is one of those dishes that a lot of people are afraid to try and I get that. But it's also one that I encourage everyone to try at least once. With all the right cleanliness and freshness precautions taken, this is one of the best classy Sunday lunch recipes. It feels luxurious, but isn't overly rich. It's classy and posh while somehow also feeling casual. And it's absolutely delicious!⠀

Making cheese at home can be a little intimidating when you first start. But there's something so fun about making one of the super simple varieties like Ricotta. If you haven't made much or any cheese, this is a really good introduction. And you will be hooked! I love making a batch of this to use for lasagnas and ravioli.
